Upcoming Events

Aerial Fitness
Aerial Fitness Allows for endless possibilities and amazing results.  This low impact workout will tone your entire body and increase your flexibility.  Sessions run once per week for 6 weeks.  Cost is $85 per 6 week series.  You can also choose to take one session at a time.  Individual sessions are $15.  
Classes will take place on Saturdays from 11:30am-1:00pm, through October 2.

Hey Young and Fabulous - Hang Out at Rosie O'Grady's!
Join other young, up and coming adults at Rosie O'Grady's in the Emerald Room for drink specials, free pizza and lots of fun!  Not only an opportunity to have fun with other LGBT folks and allies but also a chance to network and meet new people.  Bring your freinds, and share good times.  All are welcome.  For more information, contact Jeannine Simpson at (248) 398-7105.

Financial and Estate Planning Workshops
Informational workshops on topics such as general financial planning, life insurance, estate planning, investments and much more. Financial and estate planners on hand to answer questions. Free to attend and no pressure to sign up for financial/estate planning services. Refreshments provided. Limited space available so please RSVP online
Takes place Thursday, September 23 and 30 from 6:30pm-8:30pm.

But I'm a Cheerleader movie viewing
Help us celebrate Coming Out Week by joining us for But I'm a Cheerleader movie viewing, where a naive teenager is sent to rehab camp when her straitlaced parents and friends her of being a lesbian.  Featuring But I'm a Cheerleader Bingo and Best Cheerleader Costume contest - both win prizes!  Popcorn, soda and snacks available.  Suggested donation is $5.00
Takes place Wednesday, October 13 from 8:00pm-10:00pm

Motor City Bears
Join the Motor City Bears on 2nd Saturdays!  Additional events take place throughout each month.  Be sure to stop in and get a schedule!

Gaymers
Tired of all the "games" people play?  Come out and try ours!  Very easy to learn board & card games, and better than your standard Monopoly.  great way to meet new and interesting people outside of the bar scene.
Takes place first Saturdays at 5:00pm

One Voice Chorus
One Voice is Metro Detroit's LGBT Chorus. This is a mixed group of men and women who rehearse at Affirmations.  New members are welcome to join at the beginning of each season - typically September and January. One Voice produces one major concert each year along with several community performances. S.P.I.C.E
S.P.I.C.E. works to empower and enhance the lives of women of color in the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning community in Metropolitan Detroit, by eradicating the health, social and educational barriers facing them.
Takes place on the first Friday of every month at 7:30 pm-9:00pm.

Wintergreen Euchre
Wintergreen Euchre is a friendly card game and a social outing for Womyn of all ages. We meet the first Saturday of the month from October-May. No RSVP is needed. We play round-robin style, which means you need no partner.  There is a $5 donation. We ask that you arrive a little early to get settled in and registered for a seat (cards start promptly at 6:00pm and end at 9:00pm).  For more information please visit http://home.comcast.net/~vern909/site/

Sports & Fitness

Yoga
Do you want to feel fit, be more energetic, happier, and more peaceful? Yoga is for you! The class is a gentle slow flow pace with yoga nidra as the final relaxation (yoga nidra is also known as "yogic sleep", 20 minutes of this practice is equal to about 3 hours of your deepest sleep, like a guided meditation). Motown Frontrunners
A group of masochists, enthusiasts, fanatics and other social beings dedicated to the fine arts of conversation (at times, while running) and eating with a little running thrown in for measure. Runs begin at Pronto's in Royal Oak. The course is around the zoo (between 3-5 miles). For more information, contact Dave.
Takes place every Wednesday at 6:30pm and every Saturday at 9:30am.

Get OUT Bike Group
