Open Call For Dance Instructors

  • Affirmations is seeking dance instructions of any style to teach our center guests basic movements. Any type of dance is acceptable!Interested? Please reach out to Heather Aymer at or call (248) 398-7105 for more information.

    Open Call for Artists

  • Interested in having your art displayed in our Pittmann-Puckett Gallery? We are seeking transgender, gender non-conforming artists and their allies for the upcoming 'Gender Collaborative Exhibit'. The showing, presented in partnership with Transgender Michigan, will open on Thursday, March 1st, 7 p.m. All submissions must be made by Saturday, February 24th.

    Community Housing Resource Night - Tuesday, February 20th, 4 - 6 p.m.

  • Community Housing Network, Inc. will be returning to Affirmations every third Tuesday of the month, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. If you are in need of housing resources and would like to find out more information on how to acquire them, please stop by! CHN provides short-term, temporary rental assistance to individuals who are currently experiencing homelessness or at imminent risk of becoming homeless.

    Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming Individuals Survey

  • Wayne State University and the University of Washington are looking for transgender and gender-non conforming individuals in Michigan to take a quick survey.

    Book Sale

  • We are having a sale this winter, a book sale and every book in our library must go! The sales will occur every Friday & Saturday, from 4 to 8 p.m. Buy a bag and fill it up with as many as you can fit.

    Foster Care Clinic with Samaritas - Wednesday, February 28 at 6 - 8 p.m.


  • There are thousands of children in Michigan who need homes where they can feel safe, secure and loved. Make a difference and come to the center to learn more about fostering children and teens for a clinic, brought to you by our friends at Samaritas, the largest non-profit organization in lower Michigan dedicated to serving children and families.

  • Please note that there is a suggested donation rate of $5.
