Share Your ; (Semicolon)
Join us on April 29th, from 2 to 4 p.m. for a discussion about hope and love for those who struggle with mental illness. Project Semicolon, founded by Amy Bleuel in 2013, is a movement dedicated to those who are suffering from depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. Amy ended her life last month and we want to honor her by sharing our semicolon tattoo's, talking about mental illness, and providing ways to find support. **There will be mental health professionals onsite.
Recess Cafe Grand Opening
The Recess Cafe is opening on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Join the youth of the XTL Youth Workforce Development Program for a grand opening celebration in our safe and LGBTQ friendly space where snacks, games, and free wi-fi are available.
Foster Care Clinic
Are you interested in becoming a foster parent for traumatized youth? We are hosting Methodist Children's Home Society Family Services' Foster Parent Clinic on Wednesday, May 17th, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The clinic will feature an informational Q&A about fostering children impacted by childhood trauma. Writing Workshop with LGBTQ Author, David Pratt
Are you a big fan of writing? Are you interested in sharpening your writing skills? LGBTQ Author, David Pratt will be stopping by on Saturday, May 20th, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. to read from his latest work latest novel, “Wallaconia,” and to facilitate a brief writer's workshop. Please bring a pen, paper, laptop or tablet to participate.
